Meet new people Would you like to change your perspective on life and make some new friends at the same time? RT offers an excellent opportunity for meeting new friends from a variety of backgrounds from your own community. Membership enables you to take part in a vast array of new and interesting worthwhile activities. Social events and outings are a core activity of the RT - bringing members and their families together. Put Something Back In a nutshell, we are about "friendship" - regular & varied meetings with stimulating people, many with diverse interests, occupations and nationalities. Many different events are organised both at individual Table level, Area, National and international level. There are very few other ways in which you can enjoy a wider and more varied social life than as a member of Round Table We are also about having fun in a social sense with a bit of gentle fund-raising thrown in. It's different, better than a night down the boozer and great fun. What's more, you get a real sense of belonging to something rather special. Not so easy to find these days. Change Your Perspective on Life Round Table exists in many other countries around the world. Many Tables twin with foreign Tables, providing opportunities to travel and stay with local families, experiencing all of those things you would miss on a traditional holiday. Do you want to help your community and those less fortunate than yourself, whilst still having Fun? Fund raising takes up less than 10% of Round Table activities, but it is great fun, as well as personally rewarding. Round Table members get to use their imagination to bring a smile to those who really do need and appreciate a little help now and then! The RT supports local needs and large national charities alike. Each Table gets to choose its own methods, projects and causes. Other activities are also organised to help the community in other ways such as giving a helping hand at garden fetes, taking less able people for a day or night out or even running the local bonfire & firework display - all of which takes little effort on our part but is very rewarding and always fun.
